Welby Westminster Chime Mantel Tambour Clock c. 1971 Germany

Elgin Clock Company, and Welby Clock Company (who acquired the Elgin Company. but continued to produce Elgin Clocks) went out of business a number of years ago. Elgin which was made by Elgin Clock & Home Products or Welby Division of Elgin National Industries  was located in Chicago, Illinois. The movements were imported from Germany.

This tambour mantel clock was made in 1971 in West Germany. It chimes Westminster.

• The movement was oiled.
• There were no bushings added to the pivots.
• The mainsprings are in great shape.
• The has a slight ring scored in it from the hour hands normal operation.
• It has the key.
• The clock runs eight days.
• Keeps time.
