Elgin which was made by Elgin Clock & Home Products or Welby Division of Elgin National Industries was located in Chicago, Illinois. The movements were imported from Germany.
This tambour mantel clock was made in 1971 in West Germany. It chimes Westminster.

- There were no bushings added to the pivots.

- The has a slight ring scored in it from the hour hands normal operation.
